VumaTap Setup Guide

Follow these simple steps to set up your VumaTap device and start collecting customer reviews effortlessly.

Step 1: Get Your Google Review Link

1. Log in to your Google Business profile at google.com/business.

2. Navigate to the “Get More Reviews” section.

3. Copy the unique link for your business’s Google review page.

 

Step 2: Enable NFC on Your Phone

Ensure NFC is turned on for the device you’ll use to program the VumaTap:

For Android:

Go to Settings > Connections > NFC and Contactless Payments and turn NFC on.

For iPhone (7 or newer):

NFC is enabled by default. Simply ensure your phone is ready to tap.

 

Step 3: Download the NFC Tools App

Download and install the free NFC Tools app from your app store:

Android Users: Search for “NFC Tools” on the Google Play Store.

iPhone Users: Search for “NFC Tools” on the Apple App Store.

 

Step 4: Program Your VumaTap Device

1. Open the NFC Tools app and go to the “Write” tab.

2. Tap “Add a record” and select “URL/URI.”

3. Paste your Google review link into the URL field.

4. Tap “Write” and hold your phone close to the VumaTap chip to program it.

5. Wait for the confirmation message indicating the setup is complete.

 

Step 5: Test Your Setup

1. Hold an NFC-enabled phone near the VumaTap device.

2. The phone should prompt the user to open your Google review page.

3. If it works, your setup is complete!

 

Troubleshooting Tips

Phone doesn’t respond:

Ensure NFC is enabled and that the phone’s NFC antenna (usually on the back) is properly aligned with the VumaTap chip.

Wrong link opens:

Reprogram the VumaTap by repeating the steps in Step 4 and double-checking your Google review link.

No internet connection:

Ensure the customer’s phone has an active mobile data or Wi-Fi connection.
